How to Schedule a Post on Facebook & Instagram Using Meta Business Suite
1️⃣ Go to Meta Business Suite
🔹 Start on your Facebook page
-
Open Facebook and head to the page you manage.
🔹 Find “Meta Business Suite” in the menu
-
Look at the left-hand menu - Called Manage Page (where you see options like “Ad Center” and “Create Ads”).
-
Scroll down until you find “Meta Business Suite” — it’s near the switch profile button.
-
Click it — this will take you straight into the Meta Business Suite, where all your scheduling happens!
💡 Pro Tip: Once you’re there, bookmark the page in your web browser so it’s easy to come back to next time.
Here's my page on Facebook. The Meta Business Suite button is in the left-hand menu.
💡 Tip: It's best to do this from a laptop or tablet so you can see everything. You can do this from a mobile, but it will look a little different.
2️⃣ Click “Create Post”
-
You’ll see a Create Post button on the main dashboard.
-
Click it to open a new post window.
3️⃣ Select Where You Want to Post
-
At the top, you’ll see two dropdown options:
🟦 Facebook Page
🟪 Instagram Account (if they’re connected)
✅ Make sure BOTH boxes are ticked if you want the post to go to both platforms.
4️⃣ Add Your Content (Text & Images)
💬 Write your post in the text box.
📸 Add your images or videos by clicking the media upload button.
🖼️ Important: Image Size & Shape Tips
For the best results when posting the same image to Facebook and Instagram:
-
Use square images: 1:1 ratio (1080 x 1080 pixels) works well for both platforms.
-
If you’re posting multiple images (a carousel), make sure ALL the images are the same size.
-
If they’re not, Facebook may crop or resize them, and your post could look messy.
💡 Edit your images easily with Canva:
-
Canva is a free design tool where you can create and resize images perfectly for social media.
-
Choose a Facebook/Instagram post template (square) to get started.
If your images aren’t the right size, Facebook’s built-in editor can help you crop them after you upload — but it’s better to get them right before uploading.
The Hashtag Tool
5️⃣ Use the Hashtag Tool (Optional, but recommended)
-
Look underneath the text box for the # icon.
-
Click it and then click Search to search for hashtags related to your post (e.g., socialmedia).
-
It shows how many people are using each hashtag — helping you pick the right ones!
- You can bookmark them and use them next time. Click the bookmark icon on the right to save them.
6️⃣ Schedule Your Post
-
Instead of clicking “Publish,” hit the arrow next to it and select Schedule.
-
Choose the date and time you want your post to go live.
🎯 Pro Tip: Check when your audience is most active in the Insights tab — mornings, evenings, or weekends might work best!
